Senior US government official for AmCham Awards | New

US Department of Commerce Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary of Administration Thomas F. Gilman will be the guest speaker tomorrow at the American Chamber of Commerce’s 34th anniversary in Jamaica Business & Civic Leadership Awards.

Gilman’s visit comes days after Mike Pompeo took a two-day working trip to the island, where several key issues, including trade and commerce, were discussed.

The AMCHAM Business & Civic Leadership Awards aim to celebrate, showcase and encourage those who inspire others with their vision, leadership and accomplishments.

Dual role

AMCHAM said it has received a diverse list of nominees for the awards.

Caribbean Cement, Sutherland Global, Jamaica Energy Partners, The Sagicor Group, The NCB Foundation, tTech Limited, Proven Investments and Chukka Caribbean are nominated for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
