Kaduna: Senior government official murdered
Gunmen suspected of being contract killers assassinated in the early hours of Friday Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) Operations Manager Malam Dauda.
It was established that the gunmen forced their way into the victim’s house located in Barakallahu community in the Igabi local government area of the state and killed him.
Confirming the incident to reporters, the community’s district chief, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, said Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) from Rigachikun and Barnawa, who reside in the community, visited the scene of the crime. .
According to sources in the community, the assailants, after killing the victim, left without taking any valuables into the house.
It was also established that the suspects attacked a nearby community, possibly to distract members of the community as they carried out their nefarious act.
However, there were no casualties in the other attack.
The source said: “This is just a case of murder as they only went to the victim’s home, killed him and left the community, they didn’t take anything from his house. nor attacked the guard and his wife.
“Even in the other village that was attacked, no lives were lost, they just caused a disturbance and left. We think they just did it to make it look like an attack.
“We have faced various security vulnerabilities in the community.

The community of Barakallahu is about five kilometers from the metropolis of Kaduna, along the Kaduna-Zaria road.
